INTRO

As a Founding Product Designer on Walmart Creator, I worked across the product experience from early flows to launch-ready designs.

I collaborated closely with product, engineering, and stakeholders to define user journeys, create wireframes and prototypes, support usability decisions, and prepare designs for implementation.

01

OPPORTUNITY

$79.6B+

Projection for US social commerce sales by 2025.

$8.5T

The social commerce market is forecasted to reach $8.5 trillion by 2030.

Product discovery was moving into social feeds. Walmart needed a direct way to support creators, connect trusted recommendations to products, and learn from performance.

02

CHALLANGE

Make earning

feel simple.

Creators were already doing the hard part: building trust with an audience. The platform needed to remove the operational friction around product discovery, links, commissions, storefronts, and performance.

03

PERSONA

Value moves

many ways.

Building a platform that creates value on all sides of the ecosystem.

01

FOR CREATORS

Find products, create links, build a storefront, and see what is earning—all in one place.

02

FOR CUSTOMERS

Discover products through people they trust, with more context than a generic search result.

02

FOR WALMART

Open a new discovery channel, deepen engagement, and connect influence to measurable commerce.

04

CHALLENGE

Map the system before designing the screens.

We used a value exchange model and a platform structure map to connect creator needs with business goals. That foundation helped the team prioritize the core loop before expanding the platform.

01

Understand

Map creator needs, pain points, and existing workarounds.

02

Structure

Define the platform, roles, and value exchange.

03

Prototype

Test the core loop from product to performance.

04

Align

Work with product and engineering through delivery.

MARKET SIZE

$571B

Social commerce generated $571B in 2023, and it's growing 13.7% a year

WEEKLY SHOPPERS

34%

34% of US shoppers aged 18–34 now buy directly through social media every week.

GLOBAL REACH

62.6%

Over 5 billion people use social media, that's 62.6% of everyone on Earth

05

PRODUCT

Six connected tools.

The platform was designed as a system, not a set of separate pages. Each area supports the next step in the creator journey.

01

DASHBOARD

A command center for earnings, performance snapshots, recommendations, and next actions.

02

PRODUCTS

Discover, evaluate, and save products from Walmart’s assortment.

03

AFFILIATE LINKS

Generate a trackable link quickly, without breaking the shopping flow.

04

STOREFRONT

A creator owned destination to organize collections and turn a point of view into a shoppable experience.

05

PERFORMANCE

See earnings, clicks, orders, and what content is working.

05

HELP & INSPIRATION

Learn how to improve content, stay compliant, and keep growing.

06

OUTCOMES

The moment

that makes the platform useful.

The highest-leverage flow connects product discovery to a trackable link, then closes the loop with clear performance feedback. It turns a one-time task into a repeatable habit.

07

IMPACT

A strong product,

with real results.

Success meant helping people understand their financial life and feel capable of changing it—one clear action at a time.
