About Walmart Creator
Walmart Creator is a platform that allows creators and influencers to monetize their content by sharing Walmart products, managing storefronts, and tracking performance.
The product connects social commerce, affiliate-style selling, and Walmart’s retail ecosystem into one experience for creators.

The challenge
Walmart needed to launch a new creator platform before a key retail season, with multiple surfaces moving in parallel: mobile app, web dashboard, onboarding, product sharing, storefront setup, and performance tracking.
The main challenge was to design a clear, scalable experience fast — without sacrificing usability or product consistency.
My role
As a Founding Product Designer on Walmart Creator, I worked across the product experience from early flows to launch-ready designs.
I collaborated closely with product, engineering, and stakeholders to define user journeys, create wireframes and prototypes, support usability decisions, and prepare designs for implementation.
I contributed to:
- Mobile app flows for iOS and Android
- Creator onboarding and account setup
- Storefront and product-sharing experiences
- Web dashboard concepts
- Wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI
- Design system components and visual consistency
- UX research support and design handoff
Problem statement
Creators needed a simple way to join Walmart Creator, build their storefront, share products, and track their activity.
At the same time, the internal team needed a scalable product foundation that could support launch, iteration, and future growth.
So the design challenge was:
How might we help creators start selling and sharing products quickly, while building a platform that Walmart could scale over time?
Project goals
- Launch the creator platform before Thanksgiving
- Simplify onboarding for new creators
- Make product sharing and storefront management easier
- Create a consistent experience across mobile and web
- Support fast implementation through clear flows and reusable components
- Help the team move from concept to launch-ready product efficiently

From concept to launch-ready product
I worked through the product experience in phases:
1. Understanding the creator journey
Mapped the key moments creators needed to complete: joining the platform, setting up their profile, finding products, sharing content, and tracking results.
2. Designing the core flows
Created wireframes and prototypes for onboarding, storefront setup, product sharing, and dashboard experiences.
3. Aligning with product and engineering
Worked closely with cross-functional partners to make sure the designs were realistic, scalable, and ready for implementation.
4. Refining for launch
Helped polish the UI, organize handoff materials, and support design system consistency across mobile and web.
Key product areas
Creator onboarding
A guided experience to help creators join the platform and understand what they can do next.
Storefront setup
Flows that allow creators to create and manage their public-facing presence.
Product sharing
Tools for creators to discover, select, and share Walmart products with their audience.
Mobile experience
App flows designed for creators who manage content and sharing from their phones.
Web dashboard
Dashboard concepts to help creators monitor activity and manage their creator business.

What this project taught me
This project strengthened my ability to design at speed inside a large-scale product environment. It required balancing business urgency, creator needs, implementation constraints, and product clarity.
It also reinforced something I deeply believe as a designer: good execution is not only about making screens look polished — it is about helping teams make decisions, reduce ambiguity, and ship something useful.
